Rajendran Sabapathy

Rajendran Sabapathy, M.D., FACC,FSCAI, a native of Joplin, Missouri, joined MidAmerica Heart, Vascular, and Vein Specialists, P.A. in 2006. His areas of expertise include interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and peripheral vascular disease.

Prior to returning to Kansas City, Dr. Sabapathy has been recognized for his contributions to teaching. While at the University of Missouri-Columbia, he served as chief resident and was voted outstanding instructor in physical diagnosis. As a faculty member of the Good Samaritan cardiology program in Phoenix, AZ, he was recognized for outstanding contribution to the teaching of future cardiologists in techniques of cardiac catheterization and coronary/peripheral angioplasty.

Dr. Sabapathy has published numerous papers focused on the diagnosis of coronary artery disease in women, the elderly, and in the emergency room. In addition, he remains active participating in clinical trials involving investigational devices and pharmacotherapy for the treatment of coronary artery disease.
